Hello Web Universe!
If you are reading this, I thank you. I don't know how you found it, because I don't really know how the whole blog thing works just yet, but I hope that I'll start to learn and you'll enjoy the posts.
I created this blog three years ago and, after one measly post, just didn't keep it up. The thing is, when I created it I felt a little lost. I had recently graduated from college and felt like I was supposed to have it all together and realized that I didn't have much of anything in my life pieced together yet. I was hoping to record my journey from student to full-fledged adult through my blog. Here I am, four years later, and still don't really consider myself a full-fledged adult. I am independent, working, enjoying a lot of my life but still working too many hours for too small a paycheck and still feel that I haven't made it just yet. What is the one thing that was true then and is still true and I want to keep? I am still striving to find and reach my dreams.
So, here I am, back in front of a blog that I almost forgot I had. This time my goal is a little different. I have a path to walk and I realize that, although we may have parallel paths, we are not walking the same path. The point this time around (and I really hope I can keep up with it) is to provide a little inspiration along the way. We're all searching for that thing that we're passionate about, that gives meaning to our life. Some days we wake up full of energy, but some other days, we need a little something to keep us going. I don't know how I'll do it yet, or what this blog will form itself into, but I hope for your sake as well as mine that I can conjure up some inspiration to help illuminate the path that lies ahead.
I am attaching a link to YouTube for Blue Lagoon's "Break my Stride." I think you can access it by clicking on the title of this post. I've also linked the YouTube video below. (Someone please let me know if I need to do anything else to give credit on my blog). I think it's a great song to get you energized since just singing along with it makes you want to dance and makes you feel like you can do anything you want. Nothing can stop you or slow you down. It's all up to you. So maybe set it up so you can listen to it when you wake up, give yourself three minutes to enjoy it and dance around in your underwear if you feel like it. Then see if it doesn't put a little extra spring in your step for the rest of the day!
